VOCATIONAL
  STUDIES EXPLAINED

Vocational courses are hands-on, practical courses which mean that you gain skills and experience directly linked to your future career and are great if exams and lectures aren't really your thing. They enable students to multi-skill and in turn, offer a wider choice of employment opportunities. Time management and meeting deadlines play an important role in success on a vocational course and during your studies you will produce a portfolio of evidence (plans, reports, drawings, videos, placements) which is great for demonstrating your abilities in a job.

Whether you want to get new skills so you can start your career, return to the workforce, change careers, start a trade or gain a pathway to university, there is a range of study possibilities to help you create your own success. All of these programs have been developed in close consultation with industry to ensure they maintain relevancy and are taught by highly qualified and caring teachers.

Every student undertaking a course will obtain transferable skills that are recognised by all employers in Australia . All of the courses offered may require you at some point to carry out a work placement. Work placements give you the practical experience that many employers look for. By the end of your study you will have been fully prepared for your future career.
